  • Managed SAMI Asset Healthcare project to set Asset Health Care direction on North Sea gas platform undergoing conversion to gas and oil terminal operations.
  • Served 2 years as VP Engineering and Machinery of Alloyd Company in DeKalb, IL. Leaned the operation out and refocused it on the bottom line, packaged it for sale, and sold it to SCA, making a very nice return for shareholders. Built teams that cut machine costs by as much as half on some models and slashed more than $2 million per year (15 percent) out of tooling cost.
  • Managed SAMI project that helped deliver AHC Stage 1 savings of over $10 million for a Louisiana PVC producer.
  • Designed and installed a copper fitting plant in Virginia that turns inventory 97 times. Raw material is on consignment until it enters the furnace. This plant ships over $300 million per year, $35 million to Japan.
  • Led the Michigan team that designed and installed a $40 million upgrade to an automotive differential factory. Competitiveness improved to the point that the plant ships differentials to assembly lines in Japan and Sweden.
  • Co-authored “the book” on Cellular Manufacturing — the Society of Manufacturing Engineers’ Making Manufacturing Cells Work.
  • Managed Lean Manufacturing, Lean Administration, Kaizen, and related consulting projects which have delivered over 500% ROI to clients in recent years.
  • Led the team that identified £26 million annual savings opportunities at a UK gas production facility.
